Just tried creating a file called COM1.LOG on my XP machine... and it
gave me a very rude message...
Bunch of Redmond monkeys...
They probably decl the whole lot as an array somewhere RESTRICTED_FILES
= ["COM1.LOG","COM2.LOG",....."netscape.exe"].... :)

COM?.log is actually a shorcut to the COM port specified by the ? on
Windows.
Try this :
Try to save any file as COM1.LOG on Windows at it will tell you it's a
reserved file name. The same goes for LPT? as well.
I use COM_1.LOG for my apps.
