Hi! If you take a closer look you'll notice there aren't any SUN jars in the ibiblio repository, just the POMs. The reason for this is a licensing issue.
The jars themselves you have to install by yourself... see: http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-coping-with-sun-jars.html And of course use an appropriate version number. For installing the jars I suggest following this guide: http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-installing-3rd-party-jars.html or for remote repositories (e.g. company wide repo): http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-deploying-3rd-party-jars.html Cheers, mika Clint Lewis wrote: > Hi, > > On the same issue if you take a look at > http://www.ibiblio.org/maven2/javax/j2ee/j2ee/1.4/ you will see that > they version J2EE... since we all now that J2EE is on version 1.4. > > Cool > Cheers > > Jeff Mutonho wrote: > > On 4/12/06, Clint Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > >> Hi Jeff, > >> > >> Are you using maven, you need to switch over to maven, every jar is > >> forced to have a version Id, which is a very good thing. > >> > >> > > > > I use maven.I think you're missing the context of my question :).I > > just wish to know the reason for Sun not versioning(i.e putting > > version numbers) jars such as j2ee.jar > > > > > > Jeff > > > > GoogleTalk : ejbengine > > Skype : ejbengine > > Registered Linux user number 366042 > > > > > > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CTJUG Forum" group.
