Hi

Has any of you guys/gals managed to embed SNMP into a standalone java application before? I've taken a look into the Sun JDK's option for SNMP, but I can't for the life of me figure out how my application should create/update snmp variables. I have managed to get the JVM start with SNMP enabled, using the -Dcom.sun.management.snmp.port parameter.... but that's about it.

I'm using JDK1.5.0_06.

If you have any tips or know of any web sites that have useful "howto" information I'll appreciate it.

Thanks for your input,
Regards
Paul
