Hi guys, Trying to start Tomcat (via Eclipse) on my mac. Works fine on port 8080, but claims it's in use on port 80.
It looks like you need special privs to start Tomcat on a port under 1024. When I did a ./startup.sh, it seemed to work fine, but visiting port 80 did nothing. When I did a sudo ./startup.sh, everything was fine. Happily see Tomcat on port 80. I'm not too sure how I'm going to teach eclipse to run tomcat as root. Any ideas or suggestions welcome!
