Aaah.

Eclipse. I tried that but could'nt get J2ME to work properly so I finally
settled on NetBeans. Also, the Eclipse GUI designer proved to be a bit too
much for me in the beginning. I've also tried IntelliJ and JCreator, but
both lacked GUI designers so I stuck to NetBeans.

Coming from a Visual Studio background it felt a little bit more familiar to
me. The only reservation I have against using Java is how easy it is for
someone to reverse engineer my class files. Of course, the appropriate
license is supposed to take care of this, but I have had experiences in the
local market where people reverse engineered old DOS applications of mine
and I ended up not being able to do anything about it.

Is there a good way of obfuscating source code without spending more time
hiding code than you do writing it in the first place ? Obviously I'd rather
not spend too much money on it, although in the long run a few hundred Rand
might not be a bad investment.
