As do we all, I get a number of random questions, most of which I cannot answer but fortunately know Laurie's and Bob's phone numbers. :-) I should be embarrassed to reveal such ignorance, but one came in today I know zero about, and thought perhaps someone on the list can help: Are "online pharmacies" real? can people use the Internet for improved prices on common medications? Or are these sites just scams to get credit card numbers or whatever? the spam sample forwarded to me (in this case, for the decongestant Claritin) offered an online doctor visit (ie. fill out a form) and credit card number, after which the prescription drug would be forwarded by post or whatever. So does anyone have any knowledge of the new online prescription drug marketing? thanks, gene crick TeleCommunity Resource Center PS. had a nice meeting today with folks in Lexington who are working to create a new CTLS library there, perhaps beginning as a branch of another system. If anyone has experience or wisdom to offer some very good people in a worthy cause, I'm sure they would appreciate any guidance or suggestions. I reminded them the CTLS phone number so they'll probably be in touch with Laurie and Bob.
