Many of you have expressed frustration about the poor quality of book
bindings lately. Here's one way to vent those frustrations and possibly have
an improved outcome. This is from PUBLIB.

Subject: RE: Poorly Made books
I've just conversed with the Wonderful Webmaster who hosts the Maine
Libraries' Publisher's Hall of Shame on his website. He is willing to post
titles and publishers of new books that do not meet library standards from
any library that wishes to be added to the list. His name is John Clark and
he is the director of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library in beautiful
coastal Boothbay Harbor, Maine. E-mail him at [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the
name of your library, title and publisher of the book and he says as long as
it doesn't become overwhelming, he'll create a nation-wide listing.
Thank you to all who have responded to my first posting. It's good to know
I'm not an isolated curmudgeon about this.
