instant messaging and chat software interfere with our
windows NT Gates computers, causing software conflicts
and the dreaded "blue screen of death" (BSD) quite
frequently even though we have a "no downloading"
policy.  Flashpoint also seems to negatively impact
the system.  We use cable modems, so bandwidth is not
as much of a problem, but the software conflicts are.
