CTLS-L can help us share skills, ideas, information, and questions, so that we can work together more effectively to meet the library needs of the people of central Texas. The consultants here in the System office post critical information on CTLS-L as well as including the information in CTLS mailings, so CTLS-L subscribers often know about important events sooner than those who depend on conventional mail. Information from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission is forwarded to CTLS-L by the System consultants, and the discussions initiated by members are informative and lively. There are even occasional offers of free gently used books or other small items that are only offered on the list. In order to subscribe to CTLS-L, send to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and in the body of the message type: subscribe ctls-l, <your e-mail address>, <your full name>.
