Yesterday was Denise Carter's last day at Groesbeck. She starts at Temple PL on Monday, and until she completes her move to Temple, she doesn't have access to e-mail. She faxed me the following message and asked that it be posted to CTLS-L.
Bob Gaines ******* Dear Fellow Librarians: If you have TIF funds or other funds available it is well worth the time and cost to have a Network Security Audit. You would be surprised how many things on our computers that were never set up correctly. The Audit finds these problems before the big problems happen. I would highly recommend this work. The person that did ours: Williams Consulting 4206 Dakin Place Corpus Christi, TX 78441 361-855-2802 "Robert L. Williams" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ********** Here's some more info on Robert and security audits: TSLAC has recently published Robert's "Computer and Network Security in Small Libraries": http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/compsecurity/ Robert is also developing a workshop on security for TSLAC. Let me know if you'd like a copy of an actual security audit report by Robert (library name changed to protect the innocent!)
