Public library directors: I am pleased to announce that today the Texas State Library mailed Loan Star Library packets to all system member libraries. These packets contain a letter with your FY2002 award amount and two primary forms for you to fill out and mail to TSLAC as soon as possible. The first form gives the State Library the information it needs in order to send you funds. The second form is your "Plan of Action." This form tells the State Library how you plan to spend your Loan Star Library funds. When TSLAC receives this form from you they will prepare a contract and incorporate your plan in your contract. Once TSLAC receives the signed contracts back from you they can send you your award.
When the State Library sends the contracts they will include information about the reporting requirements (with samples of the forms). The Texas State Library looks forward to working with you to make Loan Star Libraries a success for you and your patrons. Remember - watch for the packet in the mail next week. It has a bright pink sticker on it which says "Loan Star Libraries - Important!" Please let me know if you have any questions.
