Yes, Temple has one. We use it to go to nursing homes, senior centers, etc. for the elderly, plus we also go to low income housing and after-school programs for the kids. We don't just go out into neighborhoods like you might think a traditional bookmobile would though. Judy Duer P.S. When I worked at Bryan Public 10 plus years ago (my how time flies!) they had a bookmobile that went to the women's prison there. I'm not sure they still have it though. -----Original Message----- From: Laurie Mahaffey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 2:12 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Bookmobiles? This is a message from CTLS-L. Sharon tells me Temple has one. Does anyone else have one? I thought Waco had one at one time. Austin last had them over 30 yrs ago. 2 questions: does your library have a bookmobile? and/or...are you the person who asked me? [I foolishly did not write down the question-asker's name and library. (It was a long day! ;-))] Thanks! Laurie Laurie Mahaffey, Adult Services Consultant Central Texas Library System P. O.
