The February 2002 issue of Western Writers of America Roundup magazine states that "20th Century Fox has made a deal with Maverick Entertainment for 'Rodeo Queen' for director Dewey Nicks. Maverick's Gary Ventimiglia optioned a 'Texas Monthly' article about four young women competing for the title of Rodeo Queen of Llano, Texas." Stay tuned for further developments.
