The Cedar Park Public Library and the Library Foundation have recently
received a Dell's Literate Community Grant in the amount of $50,000 for
two years. i.e. $25,000 for each year. The grant is earmarked for a
new infant lapsit program; expanding our existing toddlers,
preschoolers, elementary age and summer reading programs; expanding our
adult and family enrichment programs, book clubs and computer classes
and purchasing a puppet stage, new puppets and new computers.
The Dell Foundation has supported a wide range of programs and
organizations that benefit children, primarily in Central Texas and
Middle Tennessee. There were over 40 applications for this competitive
grant which funded a total of 20 non-profit organizations in the Central
Texas (mainly Travis and Williamson Counties) and Middle Tennessee
areas. The Cedar Park Public Library is proud to be one of the two
organizations that received the Dell's Literate Community Grant in
Williamson County.
