Subject: Bilingual Puppet Show Scripts

Dear All,
I received few responses to my request for bilingual puppet scripts and
have
not learned of any that have been professionally published.
Solina Marquis, a graduate student at Texas Woman's University, recently
posted a similar request to ReformaNet. She also asked librarians in
the
area (Dallas "Metroplex") and contacted Lectorum in NYC. Based on the
meager response she has heard in the last few months, she believes there
is
a huge need for Spanish language and bilingual puppet show scripts and
recordings of scripts. If you have an opportunity, please express this
need
to publishers of Spanish and bilingual children's books! I will do so
as
well.
It would wonderful if librarians could provide puppet show to Spanish
speaking children throughout Texas. I would be very happy to post
original
scripts on the Texas State Library's El Da de los nios web site at
http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/ninos/index.html. If any of you
have
original scripts that you would like to share, would you please send
them to
me along with a note giving permission to the Texas State Library to
publish
them on our web site?
Best wishes,
Christine McNew
