Subject: TMA Library is Closing
Texas Medical Association Library is closing July 31, 2003. Although the
association plans to open an Information Center in September with one
librarian to answer reference questions for association members and
staff on a fee-basis, and a part-time archivist to maintain the
association's archives and a history of medicine collection, all other
library services,
including interlibrary loan, will be discontinued July 31.
Library staff is charged with disseminating substantial journal, book,
reference/directory, and audiovisual collections to other libraries in
exchange for postage reimbursement by August 22. If you are interested
in
reviewing lists of withdrawn materials for your library's collection and
do not participate on BackMed, please contact Claire Duncan at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to add
your name to a list of e-mail
recipients.
