I would like to thank everyone who worked with TSLAC/TexShare this year in
conjunction with the database program. As many of you know this was an
unusual year, we began with much optimism but was then challenged by the
ever changing budget scenarios as presented to us by the Texas Legislature.
I especially want to thank the librarians and library advocates who
literally stayed up all night at times to represent the TexShare program in
Legislative hearings. I also want to thank the Electronic Information
Working Group, the librarians, library patrons, vendors, TSLAC
administration and fellow TexShare staff members who worked incredibly hard
to make the database package we are renewing on July 1, 2003 a reality.
Without their hard work and dedication the extent of electronic content and
resources available to every public and academic library in Texas would be
much less than what is offered above. As always if you have a question about
the database program please contact me at the address listed below. Thanks.
