I’ve noticed that a lot of public libraries have set up gift registries with Amazon or other online booksellers. You can see a demonstration of how it works by looking at the Oakland Public Library’s wish list at:

Subject: New books on library website?

Someone has suggested that libraries could post a list of new books that they want and ask people who access their website to buy them and donate them to the library. Is anyone doing this, and if so how does it work?
