You're invited to participate in a no-charge, interactive College for Texans Campaign/GO kit train-the-trainer presentation at the TX Higher Education Coordinating Board's second-floor Board Room, 1100 E. Anderson Lane/Austin on Wed., Feb. 4, 10-2. Please pre-register today by simply emailing me [EMAIL PROTECTED] that you plan to attend and let me know whether you plan to partake of the $7.00 on-site lunch. Location instructions are attached. There is no charge for the training or the resources -- including a "lite" training kit for each organization represented. The GO lite kit contains a downloadable compact disc with a College for Texans Campaign/GO kit -- in Spanish and in English! Benefits to you and your organization: *Learn how you may enrich the lives and legacies of families you serve -- by sharing the good news of the College for Texans Campaign: that college is possible and affordable for all Texas families and that there are $2 billion per year in Texas for student financial aid *Discover dynamic, accurate and meaningful resources to share with the youth and families you reach (and then adopt or adapt College for Texans Campaign resources to help further your organization's mission) *Discover prosperity-attracting tips for your own organization and the people you reach *Recruit win-win, collaborative partners who can help further your organizational mission *Learn about fun, effective ways to include college-going activities and messages in your on-going outreach: for children as young as pre-kindergarten and for parents and entire families, too After you pre-register: To make your Wed., Feb. 4 College for Texans training experience as meaningful, comfortable, & welcoming as possible for you, here are some helpful tips for your consideration: + Print out your itinerary with the location through the attachment or [EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ++ Arrive by 9:30 a.m. to ensure plenty of time to arrive safely, locate parking & meeting room, check in, make your name tag, pick up hand-outs, catch your breath, greet a new or long-time friend, & be ready for the opening at 10:00 sharp +++ Dress casually: be comfortable & relaxed + Bring business cards & organizational hand-outs to display/share with each other: maybe you'll recruit new volunteers to help further your organizational mission ... through your networking on Feb. 4. ++Furnish your organization's promotional items for me to give away as door prizes. I'll proudly promote your organization throughout the state during GO kit trainings whenever I present your items as door prizes to participants. +++If you have specific dietary preferences, feel free to BYOLBS (Bring Your Own Lunch, Beverages & Snacks) to enjoy throughout the session, if you wish.
