I encourage you to attend one of the morning sessions this Friday at the CTLS Membership meeting in Temple. Last November, I asked for CTLS libraries to try out some great new Internet-based services that a Westbank employee, Xan Charbonnet, had developed to help Westbank increase productivity, enhance patron services, and assess needs or justify expenses. Wimberley, Taylor, and Bastrop volunteered to test the services, and with their input Xan has added new services and new capabilities. CTLS has invited Xan and Beth Fox to tell you about these 4 services in two presentations at 10:00 and again at 10:45: 1) Database Usage Tracking (observe TexShare database usage; in-library and external) 2) Public Workstation Remote Control and Usage Statistics (remote shutdown and other capabilities) 3) Interlibrary Loan Management (capture the patron and the loaning library information) 4) Personnel Scheduling Tool (employee and desk/function calendars; password accessible from any browser) Please join Xan and Beth for a look at productivity solutions which can be of immediate help in your library.
