Express Public Library Health Information award: This award for up to $5,000 is designed to public libraries an opportunity to increase the knowledge and skills of their librarians in answering health-related reference questions.

Library Improvement Project: Are you looking for a way to improve and expand your library's services to consumers and/or health professionals? Under the Library Improvement Project, the NN/LM SCR provides a PC, printer, scanner, funding for Internet and document delivery services, and training on NLM services such as PubMed, MedlinePlus, and Loansome Doc, as well as Internet searching.  http://nnlm.gov/scr/outrch/lipmay04.htm

Express Community Health Information Assessment Award: Thorough needs assessments serve to analyze community needs in depth, with respect to the community’s cultural, social, economic and physical situations. This award of up to $5,000 is designed to give organizations an opportunity to study a community in detail and to subsequently design health outreach strategies that are effective in that community. http://nnlm.gov/scr/conhlth/exp_chiamay04.htm

While funding opportunities are open only to Network members, Network membership is free and open to any library that helps people with health information.
