Go to the Texas State Library's homepage at www.tsl.state.tx.us to see a new resource for genealogy searchers with deep Texas roots. The Adjutant General Service Records are now on the web, available for searching. This is a "searchable database (that) combines both official service records from the Adjutant General's Office and alphabetic files created by other agencies relating to military service." Included are Texas Rangers, the Army of the Republic of Texas, and other less well-known groups. The documents have been scanned, and can be printed out. Contact me if you need help with this. I will incorporate it into my future genealogy workshops. Thanks, TSL! Laurie Laurie Mahaffey Central Texas Library System P. O. Box 2287 Austin TX 78768-2287 512-974-3612 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
