I have received a couple of calls/emails in regard to the Planning for the Texas Summer Reading Program Teleconference being held on January 11 at several locations around the state.  You are welcome to attend this program, but I did want to let you know that CTLS will also be hosting a live reading club workshop on March 3, 2005 in Elgin and March 4, 2005 in Groesbeck. Barrie Alguire will be the presenter.  This workshop will be the traditional all day workshop with a break for lunch and networking with colleagues.

CTLS and the Austin Public Library are co-sponsoring a performer showcase on January 24th from 9:30 to 12:20 at the Ruiz Branch of the Austin Public Library.  14 acts have been scheduled including storytellers, musical performers, a balloon specialist, drummers, and more.  You should have received a flyer advertising this showcase in the mail.  You can also register online at http://www.ctls.net/document/wssignup.asp.  Please call or email me if you have any questions.

Happy holidays,
Amanda
