Hi, I got ahead of myself in my request for volunteers and I screwed up some vital information in a major way. Below you will find the corrected information along with the other pertinent details. I apologize for telling people the wrong thing and I hope that you will still consider helping me out even if I did have a major moment there. Also, the preconference schedule should be on the TLA web page for your perusal in the near future, and I urge you to register for the conference anyway, because there will be a lot to do and see! Thanks, Kerry Rake CRT Meals Committee +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ * If the volunteer is volunteering on the unit level (in this case, CRT), and is strictly helping to set up, decorate and/or take tickets for the breakfast, they do not have to pay registration and will not receive an exhibits-only pass. * The breakfast is at the Hilton; thus, volunteers will not have to be badged but if they intend to attend the breakfast, they will be required to register and purchase a meal ticket. * There will be a limited number of chairs in the ballroom for attendees who want to hear the presentation, but not eat the meal. Those guests do not have to buy a ticket, but they do need to be registered for the conference. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Greetings, As you may already know, the annual Texas Library Association conference will take place April 5-8, 2005 in Austin. This is the first time in almost 40 years that the state capital will host the conference, and we want it to be the best conference anyone has ever seen! The theme of the conference is "New Realities-New Directions." One of the more than 300 programs and events is the Children's Round Table (CRT) Breakfast, which will take place on the morning of April 8, 2005. The keynote speakers for the breakfast are Sarah Stewart and David Small, the author and illustrator of The Gardener and The Library. To make this a successful event, we will need your help. Thirty to forty volunteers are needed to set up tables, take tickets, and serve as hosts and hostesses. If you would like to volunteer at the CRT Breakfast, please obtain supervisory approval and contact me by January 31, 2005 with the following information: your name, institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number. My phone number is 512-926-8669 and my email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED]
