Just wanted to make sure that you were aware of the Impact Austin organization. They will be giving (2) $100,500 grants in June 2005. You must submit a letter of inquiry by January 19, 2005. 501(c)(3) organizations in Travis, Hays, and Williamson counties are eligible to apply. Following is their press release from January 5, 2005. Impact Austin, a local philanthropic group of women, announced its second annual request for grant proposals and will extend two $100,500 grants to two different Austin-area charities in June, 2005. At an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at the Austin Community College Highland Business Center, President Rebecca Powers announced the exact amount of the grants and provided updated details on the process for soliciting proposals and selecting the grantees. In June, 2004, a $126,000 grant was awarded to LifeWorks. The three other finalists for the 2004 grant were Family Eldercare, Zachary Scott Theatre and The Women's Advocacy Project.
