The Friends of the Lena Armstrong Public Library will host an Authors Luncheon on February 26, 2005 in the Lord Conference Center, Parker Building, on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The schedule is: 11:00am Author reception and book sale 11:30 - 1:00pm Lunch & Program Each author will have about 20 Minutes. The authors are: Talmadge Boston, a Dallas attorney and writer for the Dallas Morning News. His new book is 1939:Baseball's Tipping Point. Dr. Cleatus Rattan, the Poet Laureate of Texas for 2004 and the Visiting Mayborn Chair in the English Department at UMHB. He will read from his book, The Border. Scott Talley, the Associate Minister of Crestview Church of Christ in Waco. His book is This Can't Wait:Talking With Your Kids About Sex. There will also be a silent auction. The cost is $25 each. Tables can be reserved. No tickets will be issued. Names will be placed on a reservations list when the check is sent in.
