Subject: [texshare-users] TEXSHARE: HeritageQuest pledge drive information

The pledge drive for HeritageQuest has begun for the 2005-2006 subscription year. Letters were sent out last month to libraries that pledged last year. This week letters will be going out to libraries that did not have an opportunity to participate in the pledge drive last year.

I want to thank all of the libraries pledging funds so far. To keep up with the pledge drive, please visit:
http://www.texshare.edu/programs/academicdb/pledges/fy05/pledgetotalhqfy05.html

you'll see your library's name and location listed and how far we've moved up the thermometer.

Some libraries have already sent checks in to the State Library. Please don't send in any money to the State Library at this time. Once the goal of $263,000 has been met by pledges then Amigos will send invoices to you for the amount you pledged. The sooner we reach our goal the sooner Amigos can send out invoices.

Some libraries have contacted me and stated they could not participate in a pledge drive due to accounting practices dictated by their funding source. We have created an alternative participation form that may help libraries in this situation, the form is found in the links section at:  http://www.texshare.edu/programs/academicdb/pledges/fy05/index.html

Also, remember by keeping a HeritageQuest subscription current every library in TexShare can use this resource. Whether you participated in the pledge drive or not you have access to this database because enough funds were raised last year to maintain statewide access to this database for every member library of TexShare for every citizen of the state of
Texas.

Once again, thank you for your support. If you have questions please contact me.
