The 2004 Texas Book Festival raised $125,000 in grant monies through book
sales, special events, sponsorships and exhibits. Grants of up to $5,000
will be presented to 41 libraries, 21 of which are first-time recipients.
Since 1996, the festival has raised $1.65 million for 550 libraries
statewide. This year's grants include two benchmark literacy projects that
can be replicated in other libraries around the state and five technology
projects funded by money from Festival underwriter SBC.

A number of CTLS libraries are beneficiaries. Our hats off to:
