Many thanks to Faye Hover at the Smith-Welch Memorial Library who just
alerted me about grants available from Sempra Energy.  Sempra owns several
power plants in Texas, including Twin Oaks outside Bremond.

They appreciate organizations that work creatively and collaborate with
others to address issues in the most efficient way possible. They believe
that some of the best ideas are born from an environment of innovation. They
favor partnerships that clearly define how success will be measured and have
mechanisms in place to track results and outcomes.

They have funded programs that feature education, the environment, economic
development and civic leadership, health and human services and art and
culture.

In the last year, Sempra Energy has funded programs in Arizona, California,
Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey,
New York and Texas. Its headquarters are in San Diego CA.

Sempra gives over $7 million in grants annually.
