Subject: How to create basic library web pages - new training

The mysteries of HTML revealed!

Are you responsible for your library web pages, but you would like some
training on how to maintain them?
Does your library need a first web page or a better web page, but you are
not sure how to make that happen?

The backbone to every web site is HTML - Hypertext Markup Language. This is
the language used to create web sites. Although you can create a web site
using applications like FrontPage or Dreamweaver, ultimately you will need
to learn some HTML. Sooner or later, you will need to get into the HTML to
fix a problem. Make it sooner than later. This workshop is for beginners.
The Texas State Library, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Amigos
Library Services will be presenting HOW TO CREATE BASIC LIBRARY WEB PAGES
during the month of August. At the end of the day, participants should walk
away with a web page (or maybe two) that is almost ready for use. The
instructor will be Christine Peterson.
Who should attend?
* Public library staff who have to create and/or maintain their
library's web site.
