"Excuse me, are you the librarian? This computer isn't working!"

Just a reminder that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Texas State
Library are sponsoring free training by the Systran company on how to
troubleshoot basic computer problems on December 1-2 at Copperas Cove Public
Library (501 S Main Street in Copperas Cove, near Killeen). A few seats are
still available! These hands-on courses are for people who work in libraries
but have less familiarity with computers.

First Aid for Ailing PCs - 9am-4:30pm on December 1 - Learn how to quickly
solve basic computer problems like "freezes", sound or picture failures,
failure to print, and more.

Emergency Response for Network Disorders - 9am-4:30pm on December 2 - Learn
what to do when a computer loses touch with the Internet, with your library
network, or with a printer. Learn steps you can take on your own, and how to
talk to the computer technicians to quickly resolve simple problems.

Please register for either one or both by visiting us on the web at
