CTLS'ers - Remember this name (Danielle Cunniff Plumer). This grant could be
a great way to get some of your local history collections digitized! I know
many CTLS Libraries have archives, or there's a local history museum in your
area which has archives. I'll try to keep you informed of progress on this
project.

Subject: [syscon-tx] Welcome THDI Coordinator

I am happy to announce that Danielle Cunniff Plumer has joined the
staff of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission as the THDI (Texas
Heritage Digitization Initiative) Coordinator. THDI is a collaborative
effort of libraries, archives, museums, state agencies, and other
institutions to enhance access to distributed special collections of
cultural heritage materials. Danielle's role is to promote participation by
institutions throughout the state, to coordinate the development of tools
for resource discovery and access, and to establish long-term support for
the project.

Danielle has a PhD from the University of California at Davis and an
MS in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She has
worked in libraries for over six years. Danielle also has experience working
with cultural arts organizations, doing grant research and fundraising. Her
special expertise is in knowledge management systems and digital libraries.
