Friends--

One of my first tasks after becoming the children's librarian at Longview Public Library was to weed.  It was with great satisfaction that I pulled several space titles containing the phrase, "Someday we'll travel to the moon."  I wish I'd had the following tool to help me:

"The Weed of the Month Club" -- http://www.sunlink.ucf.edu/weed/

While geared at K-12 schools it would still be useful.  It takes one Dewey subject per month and walks you through the weeding process.  You can even submit your favorite funny or scary title discovered while weeding.

Does your library need weeding?  Call me and we'll set up a day (or days) for me to come out and help you get that reading garden blossoming at its best.
