Greetings!

Texas Guaranteed (TG) invites your library to serve as a host site for the our eleventh annual FAFSA program, The FAFSA Made Easy, and the Spanish version of the program, Los Pasos Sencillos de la FAFSA, scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2006, at 7 p.m. CST.

These programs are produced to help families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and understand the financial aid process. Completing this form is the first step for college-bound individuals in receiving any federal or state financial aid for school.

Libraries that wish to show this program during February 2006 (Financial Aid Awareness Month) will receive a VHS tape of the program and a promotional packet to assist in advertising the event. The promotional packet containing posters, flyers, evaluation forms, and a press kit will be mailed after your registration is received.  If you'd like to participate, but your facilities cannot receive satellite signals, or you would like to show the Spanish program, TG will provide a tape of the program(s).

To register, please use our online registration form at www.aie.org/FAFSAMadeEasy/Register. If you know of other organizations that would like to serve as host sites or television stations that would like to broadcast the program, please forward this information.

College-bound, high school seniors who attend the videoconference and complete an evaluation form, will be eligible to receive one of several randomly-drawn $500 scholarships and a grand prize.  All evaluation forms must be returned to TG by March 6, 2006

For more information, please contact Richard Sapp, TG's director of pre-college success, at (800) 252-9743 ext. 2865 or via e-mail at [EMAIL PROTECTED].

Thank you.
