Texas Reading Club – The Basics

This summer’s reading club theme is “Reading—The Sport of Champions!”  Learn how to use Texas Reading club materials (plus your own talent) to plan and present storytimes, activities, special programs and incentives for children ages 2 to 7.  We will cover six important areas of planning, make simple crafts and share ideas on how to make the sports-related theme appealing to all types of children.  While designed for staff and volunteers with little or no experience, seasoned participants are most welcome.  Please bring your reading club manual (http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/trc/2006/manual/clickhere.html) and the marketing manual (http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/marketingtrc/index.html).

Presented by Suzan Nyfeler, 2.5 hours CE credit.
