Colleagues--
I am doing a few small group reading club workshops--see below. Register via CTLS.net. These are quick, fun events that will get you started as you plan for your young learners this summer!
Texas Reading Club The Basics
This summers reading club
theme is ReadingThe Sport of Champions! Learn how to use Texas Reading club
materials (plus your own talent) to plan and present storytimes, activities,
special programs and incentives for children ages 2 to 7. We will cover six important areas of
planning, make simple crafts and share ideas on how to make the sports-related
theme appealing to all types of children.
While designed for staff and volunteers with little or no experience,
seasoned participants are most welcome. Please bring your reading club manual
(http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/trc/2006/manual/clickhere.html) and the marketing manual (http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/marketingtrc/index.html).
