How does the TexShare Card Program fit into the Loan Star Libraries Program? What impact does participating in the Card Program have on your community? How does Loan Star Libraries funding improve Texas public libraries? If you've have questions like these or just want to refresh your knowledge, please join us as we discuss the TexShare Card and Loan Star Libraries programs and explain why the programs form a Texas-sized collaboration to improve public libraries. WHO SHOULD ATTEND?: This workshop is open to all Texas library staff, but is especially appropriate for public library staff who are directly involved with creating and implementing library patron policies, have direct responsibilities for the Loan Star Libraries grant, or deal with library patrons on a regular basis. PRESENTERS: Wendy Clark is State Grants Administrator for the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. She manages the Loan Star Libraries and Texas Reads grant programs. From 2000 to 2003 she served as Library Systems Administrator and as Special Services Consultant from 1997-2000 at the Texas State Library. Wendy has worked in state libraries in Texas, South Carolina and Virginia and in public libraries in Virginia. She received her MLIS from the University of South Carolina. Ann Mason is the TexShare Coordinator for the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. She has administered the various TexShare programs for the last 3 years. Prior to coming to the Texas State Library, Ann worked in a special library in a corporation for 7 years, then became an information liaison for one of the division laboratories, and later a Marketing Information Manager.
