Subject: [syscon-tx] Online Legal Resources Training

We would like to invite you and any of your staff members to participate in the free Online Legal Resources training we will be hosting in September and October. Library staff that have attended have all said that the training was extremely helpful to them, so I hope you or a representative of your organization can make it to an Online Legal Resources training in the coming months.

Online Legal Resources: This seminar will help attendees use the Internet to find civil legal information for low-income Texans. Trainers will introduce TexasLawHelp.org, as well as other online resources that provide free and reliable legal information. The session will also include an introduction to legal aid in Texas and explanation of different resources available for legal aid in your community.

We have received a great response from librarians that have attended our trainings in other regions. TexasLawHelp.org is a great asset to librarians as well as other community advocates who have clients dealing with civil legal problems. Here's a few examples of what past attendees have said about TexasLawHelp.org training:

*         "The training was great...all this great information in a short amount of time."

*         "Excellent Presentation!!!"

*         "It was very informative and will be very useful to our patrons."

*         "The training was awesome! ...It had 100 % of my intention the whole time!"

You may register through the Texas State Library Web site at <http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/workshops/wtt2/legaltraining.html>.

Sincerely,
