eLibrary Training for TexShare Members Only

Want to learn how to better help your users find electronic resources?
eLibrary is an easy to use, powerful general reference database that is made
available through TexShare.   Sign up for eLibrary training from ProQuest!

What is it?  eLibrary is an easy to use yet powerful general reference
database made available through TexShare.  It contains more than 2,500
full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books, plus a variety of
photos, weblinks and audio/video.

Who should attend?  Public library and community college library staff

Who teaches it? Expert ProQuest Trainer, Kimberly Bastian

When is the training? March 19-23 and April 2-6, 2007

Where is it?  At your desktop; you'll need a computer with Internet access
and a phone.  You will need to download Microsoft Live (free) to view the
demonstration. 

How long is it?  Only one hour with many convenient time slots!

Participants will learn how to:

        *       search for articles, pictures, videos, and radio &
television transcripts (ie: NPR)
        *       find Spanish or health related content, as well as find
results based on a users reading level/lexile score
        *       search the special history and literature collections to
find results such as poets reading their own or others' works or
presidential documents (ie: President Ford's pardon of President Nixon).

On the day of the session please make sure you have a phone (preferably
speakerphone) next to your computer so that you may hear the audio portion
of this Live session. 

Registration is required at least two days in advance of the session you're
attending.  Participants are eligible to receive one hour of continuing
education credit from the Texas State Library & Archives Commission.
