The nominee must be a member of NMRT/TLA and must be employed full time as a professional librarian. Any person in the library profession who is familiar with the nominee's education, experience, and professional activities and affiliations may nominate them. Self nominations are also accepted. A committee of NMRT members will consider all nominations. The Outstanding New Librarian Award will be presented at the annual Texas Library Association Conference in San Antonio. The Outstanding New Librarian Award comes with paid registration to the upcoming Annual Conference in San Antonio and paid membership for 2008. To apply or nominate a candidate, please fill out the application form at http://www.txla.org/groups/forms/NMRTaform.html. Applications must be submitted by February 17, 2007.
