Colleagues - 

 

Winter is the time of year when many of the big children and teen literary
awards are announced, including new reading lists for next year.  Below is a
tidy list of these great titles.  

 

For those of you new to the library world, it's a great time to see which
titles you own, decide which others to buy, and to post the list (with call
numbers of what you own) somewhere in your library.  Postings can be on a
bulletin board, special display or even in a binder with other lists of
recommended books (like the Accelerated Reader lists from your schools).

 

No, you don't have to buy all of them but it's good to be aware of them.
These are books selected by your colleagues and by school children.  The
lists plus background on each are found at the websites below.
