The Texas Commission on the Arts will hold an emergency Commission meeting to discuss Senate Bill 1376. The meeting will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Texas Commission on the Arts headquarters. Texas Commission on the Arts is located on the 5th floor of 920 Colorado Street in downtown Austin. The public is welcome observe the meeting. Senate Bill 1376 moves to abolish the Texas Commission on the Arts and establish an arts office as part of the Governor's Office. Please note that workmen will be in some areas of the 920 Colorado office building on Saturday, removing asbestos-based glue from floor tiles.
