Laurie: The libraries in Williamson County went through a batch of ILS
vendors last fall for just this same reason. Tricia at Round Rock
Public Library was the main contact for this and did compile a batch of
information on the different vendors. We saw Horizon, Sirsi Unicorn
(all the same company now) TLC and Polaris. Polaris has my keen
interest--more middle size friendly, I thought. I've done Horizon, no
thank you. Too complicated if I have to be the smartest person for the
ILS.

Wells Branch Community Library is currently using Athena, which no
longer
meets our needs very efficiently. We are thinking of converting to a
new
system. Does anyone have one they particularly love (or hate)? We'll
be
talking to vendors at TLA, so we will get the salesman's song and dance.
I'm more interested in what real libraries think.
