Because the MySpaces @ Your Library workshops filled up so fast on Tuesday, May 22, in San Marcos and on Wednesday, May 23, in Temple, we have added a 3rd workshop for you all to attend on Thursday, May 24, at the Temple Public Library. Thank you to Diane Neal for extending her Central Texas MySpaces tour and to Judy Duer at Temple PL for graciously hosting us two days in a row. Register <http://www.ctls.net/index.php?option=com_mosforms&mosform=2> now! Temple Public Library 100 W. Adams Ave. Temple, TX 76501 Registration is from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., and the workshop is 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with refreshments served all morning. Attendees will receive 4.0 hours of CE Credit. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with the social software phenomenon through hands-on experience and discussions with other librarians on how to use these tools to better serve your tech-savvy patrons. During the course of the workshop, you will create a blog, set up RSS feeds and more while learning the impact of these new technologies on library services. Presenter Diane Neal is an assistant professor in the Texas Woman's University School of Library and Information Studies. A former systems librarian, she teaches courses in library website development and design, library automation, information storage and retrieval, and indexing and abstracting. Free for Texas public libraries; $40 otherwise. Make check payable to CTLS, Inc., and mail to: CTLS, Inc. Re: MySpaces Workshop 1005 West 41st.
