This is a full-time position. Work involves planning and coordinating programs and services for children and teens; assisting customers by providing readers advisory services, basic reference, and directional assistance; presenting some weekly story times and other literature-based programs for children and their caregivers; supervising teen volunteers; planning, coordinating, and implementing summer reading program with other library staff; developing cooperative programs and serving as the liaison between the public library and the schools and community organizations dedicated to serving children and teens; and assisting customers in use of reference sources, electronic databases, and computers. Some weekends and evenings are required. This position requires a Masters degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school. The salary range is 38,600-$42,000.
