The American Library Association has a section on their website called Library Fact Sheets. Go to their website at: www.ala.org <http://www.ala.org/> and type Library Fact Sheets in the Search box. Hit "enter". There are over a dozen of these helpful fact sheets on topics from "The Number of Libraries in the United States" to "Sending Books to Needy Libraries: Book Donation Programs." The fact sheets have been updated recently, so the information within them is current. This is a great resource which is FREE.
