Dear Children's Librarians, The Lunar and Planetary Institute is hosting a free, 2-day workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 5 & 6. The program is designed to train librarians to present hands-on programs on earth and space science for children ages 8 to 13 and their families. The workshop, which is supported by NASA, will include a visit to NASA Johnson Space Flight Center to view meteorites from Mars. It will be held in Houston at the Lunar and Planetary Institute. The PDF file below contains information about the workshop and an application for registration. You are requested to submit applications by Aug. 10, 2007 to reserve a space in the workshop. Librarians who complete the program will receive a $100 stipend. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that will help you take advantage of this exciting continuing education opportunity.
