Anybody interested in being on a panel at TLA? Jennifer -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dawn Vogler Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2007 11:14 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [slm] Speaker for panel at TLA Hi there, Is there anyone out there in small library land that would be interested in being on a panel for a presentation about a day in the life of information professionals. In this case, it would be a day in the life of a small library professional. We would like to try and infuse the presentation with some humor, so those bats in the belfry (or AC closet) stories would be great! Being on a panel is not nearly as intimidating as speaking alone. The presentation will be based on Priscilla Schontz' book called A Day in the Life: Career Options for Information Professionals: http://www.amazon.com/Day-Life-Options-Library-Information/dp/1591583640/ref =sr_1_1/002-2105693-1011203?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1183478916&sr=1-1 Priscilla herself will be heading up the panel. Caveat: if you agree to speak, you will need to foot the bill to come to TLA, atleast for the day of the presentation. You will be given a day pass to get into the conference. We cannot pay TX librarians to speak at TLA - it's a rule. This is still in the proposal stage - I will know more if this program is accepted by the TLA program committee after annual assembly, around July 11th.
