The Distribution to Underserved Communities Library Program is a nationwide
program that distributes books on contemporary art and culture to rural and
inner-city schools, libraries and alternative reading centers completely
free of charge!
If you are a PUBLIC institution in an underserved community, you are
eligible to receive these free materials. Our books are brand new, and
donated by museums, galleries, and publishers from across the country.
To learn more about the DUC, to browse our inventory of art books, and to
place an order, please visit our website: www.ducprogram.org
<http://www.ducprogram.org/> .
The DUC aims to actively further a more egalitarian access to contemporary
art by enriching and diversifying art literature and catalogues in public
library collections. It promotes arts education and literacy to a diverse
demographic of students and readers nationwide, providing resources that
under-funded public learning centers could otherwise not afford to acquire.
Since 1990, the program has placed well over 200,000 free books in public
libraries, schools, and alternative pedagogical venues.
We hope you will participate in this unique program!
