We had them sign first name and zip code for a long time on a sheet at the desk. Now they check them out using their library card. Hopefully we'll got to CyberN soon that will validate them against their library card. We have changed the way computers are checked out and some of us are worried that patron confidentiality is being violated. Is confidentiality being violated if a patron willingly checks out a computer by signing his/her first initial and last name on a check out sheet located at the circulation desk?
