Subject: [pld] Ann Bausum School Visits

Explore U.S. history with a visiting author. Ann will
be speaking for a PLD program but would also like to
do some school and library visits. --Jeanette Larson,
Austin, TX

Ann Bausum, award-winning author of U.S. history for
young readers, will be available for visits in Texas
schools prior to her April 17 presentation at the 2008
Texas Library Association Conference in Dallas.
Preference will be given to schools in the Dallas/Fort
Worth area and in Austin. Available dates are April
16, April 15, and April 14, and will be booked in that
order.

Ann's talks connect young people to dramatic points of
U.S. history while presenting kid-friendly tips about
her research and writing process. Her target audience
is middle school, but she is happy to adapt material
to work with upper-elementary grades or high school
students of history and English.
